    3. Who was this Peter Van Orden? Who were his parents and siblings? Peter Van Orden m. 28 May 1831, Eliza Sneden, dau. of Robert Sneden & Jane Crum. Eliza Sneden was b. about 1814 He apparently died before 1860. She is listed as the head of the household in the 1860 Federal Census for Rockland County, N.Y.; Orangetown; Nyack P.O., aged 46, with the following (all born New York): John Van Orden, 26, coal dealer; Sneden Van Orden, 25, coal dealer; Peter Van Orden, 23, boatman; Charles Van Orden, 9; Sarah M. Van Orden, 26. ---probable children of Peter Van Orden & Eliza Sneden: * John Van Orden, b. about 1834 * Sneden Van Orden, b. about 1835 * Peter Van Orden, b. about 1837 ---Sources: 1860 Federal Census, Rockland County, N.Y.; Orangetown; Nyack P.O.
