August 20, 1198; George MacLean; gwamacl@nectom.ca John Coborn was born December 25, 1776, in County Monaghan, reland. he emigrated to Nyak, Rockland County, in 1805. There he married a Mary Sidman in 1808. her parents were a John and Rachel Sidman who apparently originated in Heidelberg, germany. All were protestants. They had four children before moving on to Ontario in1817.
