There are some Bouchards in the Chazy NY area who descend from the French Canadians who fought for the US in 2nd Canadian Reg. "Congresses Own" in the Revolution. My wife's Bouchards are part of that family. Perhaps your Bouschards are from that family. I've had good luck contacting many of the researchers of French Canadian lines via email. Those with access to the Drouin or other marriage indices can do quick lookups if you know the approximate date of marriage.
