I have established through family records and pictures that a Abram J. Conklin was my Grandmother's half brother. He resided at 221 W. 83rd Street, NYC at least from 1901 - 1909. I have a telegram addressed to him there when my grandmother and grandfather were on their honeymoon. If I can find out who his parents were, I could ascertain if his mother was Anna Hamilton Conklin, the fourth wife of Josiah Webb Dolson and my grandmother's mother. I have been down the path of Nicholas M. Conklin and Eliza Starr with sons Manning and Samuel, and the dates don't jive. I've also been down the road of Abram Conklin and Josephine, buried at St. John's in the Wilderness at Stony Point, and those dates don't quite jive. I've been through the wedding present records and guest list, and A.J. and his wife Clara were there. Where, how else can I track him down ? I have had lots of speculative help and leads from several Conklin researchers, and I am most grateful. Now I'd like some suggestions on Abram J. !
