I grew up in Rockland County, and lived there for a good portion of my adult life. There is a very old cemetery in the Town of Ramapo, called the Brick Church Cemetery -- and it is near Hempstead Road. I believe that it dates back to the Revolutionary War era (or before), although it was still in use several years ago. In fact, my father-in-law was buried there about 10 years ago. I assume that would be the rough location of the wanted cemetery. I eventually hope to search for part of a John and Mary Burgess family if there might be any ancient cemeteries in or near Ramapo. Two sons died in the Revolution but the other children went in different directions with their burials in Tompkins, Westchester and Delaware Counties. djweber djwdjw@ix.netcom.com
