Greetings, I have many questions related to my Carlough ancestors that many of you may be able to help with; however, let me throw out the first two. My ancestor John G. Carlough was born about 1813 in Haverstraw, NY and married Mary Babcock about 1830. Mary was born about 1813 in Ramapo. Their first son Samuel was born on November 16, 1833 in Sloatsburg, NY (he is my ancestor). My first question is for any Babcock or Carlough researchers. Have you come across the names of Mary Babcock's parents? My second question is who were John George Carlough's parents? His NJ death certificate lists George as the father. However, I am not sure if it is the George Carlough that married Elizabeth Lozier or another one.
