I am looking for Arents, Orange County ca 1720s, and also a place called "Hittekezees", whereabouts completely unknown, but also in about the same time frame. An Orange County historian suggests that "Hitttekezees" may be near "Tapanzee", which I have never heard of either, but I'm hoping that Tappan in what is now Rockland may be a good starting point to use for this inquiry. The Hittekezees location turns up in a Tarrytown, Westchester marriage record from 1709, and I am looking for Arents, Orange County because it is given as the birthplace of Mc Gregory Van Every.
