If so, please see page 136 which refers to a James Kelly of Haverstraw having relocated to Newburgh and was living there in 1906. This was the year off the land slide in Haverstraww that killed ~20 people. I'm wondering if this James is my gg-grandfather, born in Askeaton, Co. Limerick ~1820. He would be the father of Mary, b. 1865-66. See the 1870 US Census for Haverstraw. Still not been able to locate his burial place. Might be in Haverstraw, or maybe Newburgh. ??? His wife's name was Mary Brophy who he met in Haverstraw not long after arriving in the town. Thanks for the stories. I would say Mary would be an aunt to me...sister of my g-grandfather, James b. 1867. We believe he died in CT. around 1899.
