Sorry to post here, but I know a few people here straddle the border in searches, and it's in reference to a Haverstraw native. I've found, or rather a fellow researcher did and contacted me, my gr-grandfather Thomas Waldron died 26 Aug 1898 in Roxbury, Morris, NJ and his first wife, Amanda Hinkel possibly died in Jefferson, Morris, NJ on 23 Oct 1882 (confirming my long held theory, if correct). I am told by a local official that Jefferson Township doesn't have any records prior to 1948. If anyone has any contacts on the ground there who could direct me to a local society or records office that would have the old records, I'd truly appreciate an off-list reply. This information syncs with family lore that our branch of the Waldron clan had a Netcong/Lake Hopatcong connection. Thanks and Happy Holidays everyone! Brian
