It is next to the West New Hemptead Dutch Reformed Church Cemetery in the 170s block. It lies between Route 306 and Union Road. The land was sold to the veterans for a nominal amount by my patriotic father-in-law Clarence E. (Pete) Erickson. It had been the Woodside Dairy Farm owned by the Townsend-Erickson family since the early-mid 1800s.The Road is an historic one that the Continental troops marched on, The 2 oldest houses on the street were built in the 1700s.
