I've found the couple in the 1870, 1880, and 1900 censuses, but that's about it. Who were their parents? Where'd they live prior to 1870? Was Cordelia Ann Bulson their child? There seems to be a fair amount of speculative research on these two here on ancestry.com, and I've been trying to confirm things all morning with conflicting results. I'm hoping that someone out there has sussed out the connections between the BULSON & ROSE families and can point me in the right direction... Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! If so, please see page 136 which refers to a James Kelly of Haverstraw having relocated to Newburgh and was living there in 1906. This was the year off the land slide in Haverstraww that killed ~20 people. I'm wondering if this James is my gg-grandfather, born in Askeaton, Co. Limerick ~1820. He would be the father of Mary, b. 1865-66. See the 1870 US Census for Haverstraw. Still not been able to locate his burial place. Might be in Haverstraw, or maybe Newburgh. ??? His wife's name was Mary Brophy who he met in Haverstraw not long after arriving in the town. Thanks for the stories. I would say Mary would be an aunt to me...sister of my g-grandfather, James b. 1867. We believe he died in CT. around 1899. I have lived in Nanuet all my life and have many relatives at Brick Church Cemetery. I believe Loescher is the new section in the back. My Uncle (a WWII vet) and his wife were recently buried there. ------Original Message------ From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com Sender: nyrockla-bounces@rootsweb.com To: NYROCKLA-L@rootsweb.com ReplyTo: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com ReplyTo: nyrockla@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NYROCKLA] F Loescher Vet Mem Cemetery Sent: Sep 19, 2011 7:41 PM This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
