    1. [NYROCKLA] (Temporary) closing of OCGS in Goshen NY Tuesday January 3rd & Wednesday January 4th for repairs
    2. MARTY
    3. Because the bell tower on the 1841 Courthouse in Goshen has developed severe leaks, it will be removed next Tuesday and Wednesday, and put up again after it has been repaired. A temporary cover will be installed to stop leaking during the repair period. This will require closing the 1841 Courthouse in Goshen completely, including Court Lane, right next to the building. Since the Orange County Genealogical Society's research room is in the 1841 Courthouse, it too will be closed during the time the bell tower is being removed. You can read the announcement from the Orange County Executive concerning this repair at http://www.orangecountygov.com/filestorage/124/898/2483/3744/12-30-11_Bell_Tower_on_County%27s_1841_Courthouse_to_be_Removed.pdf With luck, OCGS will be open as usual on Friday, January 6th, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and opening days and hours will be normal after that.
