I believe the Holland Society of New York was instrumental in publishing the book. Can anyone tell me about this book or if someone has it I'd love to hear from you. I am researching the name HARING/HARRING and wonder what this book contains.... I am in the middle of 'no where' in TN - so the library is out of the question. 3. Grace, In response to your first E-Mail, I was going to suggest that you also post your query on the NYROCKLA-L List (and here you are). You might also send a query for posting on the Query WebPage of the Genealogical Society of Rockland Co at <http://www.rootsweb.com/~NYROCKLA/GSRC/> Follow the links to the Query page and follow the instructions. You might also join us at the Genealogical Society of Rockland County (See the WebPage for further information). There are several WEYANTs listed in the Index of Cole's History of Rockland County, but your Vincent and Peter are not listed. Tobias WEIANT is found on p. 169. Almost exactly one year ago, Bob Protzmann and I visited Oak Hill Cemetery. The Superintendent, Thomas Luke Conroy, was WONDERFUL! He gave us a photocopy of a plot map and escorted us to the (unmarked) plot in question. Oak Hill is a large cemetery with a very limited budget. Their records are not backed up offsite, and one fire could destroy a lot of valuable information. They might not have the time or budget to respond to mail or phone requests, but anyhow, the contact information is: Oak Hill Cemetery 140 N. 1. My Web pages
    2. To those of you who have tried to go into my web page and had trouble, I apologize. Evidently this server is set up that when the number exceeds "x" number of peopling trying to get into any webpages on freeyellow.com, it stops the number of people attempting to get in and goes to a page that says that the page you're trying to attempt is "offline" or something like that for whatever reason. It is not usually the web page person's fault. It's the size of the web server evidently. I have even gotten that message when I've just created a new page, and then you're supposed to be able to "view the page you just created" and it won't let me in sometimes. what I've found is that my page ends up being there and I can't get in it for a while, then later after I've created another page or two and then try to go into the one from earlier, I'm then able to get into it. It's evidently just the amount of traffic trying to reach all these web pages. As far as looks and quality, I really like freeyellow.com so far. It's accessibility at times is a little difficult. But I also have some of my family listings in maxpages.com and there are links in the freeyellow to get to my maxpages work, and the maxpages are much more difficult to create in... at least they are for me.... but then I'm a newby at the web page thing. I just have so much information that I want to get online and a friend told me about freeyellow and how well she liked it. It might be that just too many people have liked it and they haven't expanded to handle the traffic as maybe they should. I've sent freeyellow a message as a member letting them know that my "friends" out there are complaining because they can't get into my web pages, and hopefully, soon there will be a respite in being able to access the pages more easily. Please don't give up on my pages. I'm really hard at work and wanting to have this work and I need your support in visiting my pages. the freeyellow doesn't have a bunch of advertising on it, which I like.... but the maxpages do have advertising. Please bear with me. I may move the maxpages later if they don't improve... that's the end of my rambling for now. thanks rooters.... I added about 10 pages yesterday, and I'm going to work on hopefully adding about 10 more today. the pages I added were in the death certificates section. I'm trying to get as much of that information up as possible. Please if anyone makes a connection, let me know,,, you may be my cousin... and I wouldn't want to miss you.... but then we're all cousins anyway, aren't we? Thanks much. My mother, Ethel (Stalter) Harvey, has no knowledge of her grandmother having a child by that name. Julia had a brother Spencer Starr, b. abt 1845-46. [1850 US Census, Ramapo, Rockland Co., NY, h/h # 343, family #346.] If Mrs. Marjorie S. 2. 9/17/98 - Amanda J. Heaney - AJHMANDY@AOL.COM My postal address is 55 Clinton Pl Unit # 508, Hackensack, NJ 07601 I am trying to locate my grandmother's 1/2 sister. Believed born apprx 1919 in Haverstraw(?). Her name was either Blanche Baisley or Blanche Conklin at the time of Birth. She was adopted in 1922 and as far as we know went by the name od Blanche Rose. May have lived in Stoney Pt or Grassy Pt. I need to find any available information on her. Is she still alive and if so where is she ? My grandmother has wondered about her for years. Please contact me with any information you think pertinent. Thank you.

    1. Re: Rockland County Query - Richard DeClark
    2. Bob, I have begun this note 3 times and been knocked off-line all 3 times before I can finish it. Most aggravating. I'll be glad to send you items. What would you like? My pedigree line back to old Daniel? The b. d. and m. in the DeClark/Van Wie family bible? I also have sketches and letter written by James DeClark during the Civil War. Let me know.
