    3. If this was posted already I'm sorry, but I didn't see it. There is a wonderful article in the January 2007 issue of the NY Genealogical and Biographical Record (Available at both New City and Ridgewood) on The Netherlands ancestry of of the Tallman family. "Amsterdam Records of Douwe Harmensen Talma; Founder of the Talman/Tallman Family of Rockland County" by Sulvia Binch and Harry Macy, Jr. (Vol. 138:14) The article cites Douwe Harmanss and Dirckie Teunis marriage intentions and marriage and baptism of 4 children in Amsterdam - 3 of the 4 children were not previously identified. Three of them were the 2 year old, 3 year old and nursing child who emigrated with Douwe Harmensen and his wife of the De Bruyynvis (The Porpoise) sailing from Amserdam on 19 June 1658. Ree Hopper

Tallman (b 1809) on 18 Oct 1827 at Middletown Baptist Church. Abraham died 11 Sep 1840 by drowning. Sally and Abraham had four children: Alfred Augustus (b 1830 Nyack), Jacob, Jane M. (b 1836), and Emma. It is possible that at some time after Abraham's death, the four children were "split up" among relatives. In 1850 in Orangetown, Alfred is enumerated with Abraham A. and Catharine Tallman and Jane is enumerated with Harman and Emma (Felter) Tallman. I cannot find Sally Tallman (she may have remarried) or her children Jacob and Emma (Emmas is said to have married a Demarest). 3. The Manual of the Reformed Church in America, 1628-1922, formerly Reformed Protestant Dutch Church, edited by Charles E. Corwin (New York, 1922), does not list a Reformed Church in Pearl River. Since this Manual is a meticulous record of the churches and their ministers, I do not think the editor would have missed such a congregation.
