Hi Richard: My Catherine Herbert of Lowtown, Kildare m. a Michael B. Dunn after her arrival in NYC in 1898, and they lived and raised their children in Newark. They were in Newark when your Bridget moved there, and I wonder if there was a relationship. I don't know where Michael hailed from in Ireland, but he arrived in the U.S. between 1881-83 and was naturalized in 1888. He was a Newark policeman. He and Catherine had 7 children, most of whom stayed in the Newark area. Despite generally large Irish families I have been unable to find any siblings, aunts or uncles of my great-grandparents. I still believe they are out they somewhere but where.
