I am looking for any trace of the McCabe family in Rensselaer County in the 1840's. Hugh McCabe born in Ireland about 1807 and his wife Elizabeth McCabe born in Ireland?? about 1803 and their daughter Mary McCabe born March 15, 1844 in Troy? I have looked in the census records and ordered one roll of microfilm from the LDS center with no luck. I would love to get my hands on newspaper or church records but have no idea what denomination they are or if they even lived in Troy. I have the death certificate of my gg grandmother Mary McCabe Miller and it lists Hugh and Elizabeth as the parents and Troy NY as her place of birth. Death certificates are probably the least accurate as far as birth records go but so far that is all I have. If anyone has any tips please email me at [email protected] Thanks Don Karnish Omaha [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy Barnett" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 07, 2006 8:05 PM Subject: [Rensselaer] Re: Roll call >I am looking for information to prove or disprove my suspicion that > Charles Duane Hall is my 4th great-grandfather, father of Henry > Merchant Hall. > > Charles Duane Hall was born 09 March 1758 in Westerly, Rhode Island > and according to his Rev.
