The Goewey / Gowey would be about 1750 to 1830 I Lansingburgh Near Troy. I under stand that Lansingburgh is part of Troy. Now there are two folks John Henry Goewey born 1810 and his only know sister was Elizabeth Goewey was born 1806 or 1807. Now again another line thinks he had tree sisters and one brother. I have ran out of places to check in the census. Elizabeth Goewey's death cert. says she was from Lansingburgh. Her only daughter Martha Elizabeth Norton Grand parents moved there where her parents died at, when in 1830 Goewey's came to Clinton county. If this will help. I know there are goewey's there but I do not know if they are relatated or not. 1850 Federal census has them there. Fred
