    1. Re: [Rensselaer] Directory Listing - GOEWEY
    2. Where any of your family born in the year 1810 ? In 1830 the Geoweys and Nortons came to clinton county. James Norton and Elizabeth Goewey line I have been able to confirm his father died their. After much research the only know sister death cert was found her only dummy child Martha Elizabeth Goewey she put down her in laws as being her grandparents and parents of Elizabeth Goewey. In the census of 1830 I found a Solomon Goewey in Morah township in Essex county. In a telegram from Darius McFadden to John Henry Goewey. Darius says auntie died and furneral will be held sunday. No meation of who auntie was, from George B. second oldest son's desendence their is a name of Morhous. I am looking for any name that might fit. Their are many Morehouse, Morhous familes. And other spellings in both Clinton and Essex Counties, NY. From the same people and David Martin in person they claim a Solomon was father of John Henry and Elizabeth. The Solomon Goewey I found just disappeared in 1830 in 1840 one shows up in Wayne county, NY clear accross the State. I found one sister's cousins living in Montana and we have been exchanging information back and forth. Most of it her way she told me. She gave me a photo of Harried and Wealth Goewey her sister. Now I found in Austin< Minn. A photo in the Newpaper and a three colom telling about Darius in the Civil War. Tried to figure out what a person who was so unimportant managed to get such a spread. Turns out he was a Mason like the family in Clinton County, NY. A district councilman, he was in charge of the local DAR Gang when they had a CAMP There in Austin, Mower, Minn. Harriet belonged to the womens org for the same group and has simbles of such on the Tomb stones. I have his Civil War records and a big bio I wrote oh them when I got the first Civil War Records back in 1970's. I now have a family history on CD's for members of my family. Back to the two goeweys that ended up in St. Albans , Vermont. John Christopher Goewey and Wealthy Goewey King. The King line is now in Montanta at least part of it. John C Goewey to my surprise fought in the Civil War now. Soldiers and Windows pension info from Anceatry.com and I have the forms to send to gov office to obtain.... Why it will have where he was born placing them might prove Lansingburgh also. It will give his death information because he died and the first pension closes. Widows Information given marriage and birth place in Canada. More record to locate on his wifes Family. We need the death and burial records to check agaist the George G.'s line of records which I have found not to be any good beyond John Henry. The fellow who did this line just placed a name Solomon Goewey. and then clamed a linage back to the first Goewey in the USA. That is no way to do genealogy for me. If he had sourced it maybe. There was a big fall out with the borther of John Henry and his brother I can not prove that either. It must have been a real bad one if Martha did not know the names of her grandparents. I never knew anything about my grandparents either but my father would not tell me anything about it. Mom told me about what happened and he had a lot of reasons to anyone looking up his back ground. From his parents back the were very Honorable folks but him no way. My father only had two children due to my mother's tiped insides and neg b type of blood. I and my sister was never to make it. If you believe the doctor, my sister was spoiled abd given everything ahead of me because she would not make it past 12 years. mmmm the old lady is two years older that myself. Now I am 64 but it is not nice to tell folks how old a lady is. Well back to the salt minds fred and thanks even for thinking about my line it is so nice. I know from the census over the years from Ancestry there is a very big group there. Now for Weanty T Crossman was born in Vermont. Census records takes me back to Putnam county, I really have it down there. If I am correct on the parents I have found several lines already done for her parents. Grandfather was Jacob Crossman and Linda Claflin . The would make 2nd line for that family of mine. I found the whole family on my shelf and where they come from birth dates. Carrie turns out to be Carmi a male. His line goes to St Lawrence with four of his boys in the Civil War. There is one more to young to go, or he would have made it also. I know a lot more but still do not have the lines beyound John Henry and Wealthy T. So it goes fm
