Judy, It seems only logical to assume that West Troy is a section of the City of Troy in Rensselaer County but, in fact, it is located in Albany County and later became known as Watervliet. Hopefully if you search the 1855 and/or 1865 NYS census for Albany County, you'll find your ancestors. Lynn
