Bill, and all, I'm one more Irishwoman who makes Chili Sauce every year as my mother did before me! Sept. was always canning season wherever we got the produce-sometimes from a brother's farm in Defreetsville, later, from the market. This week I'll get the tomatoes and peppers from my daughter's garden which my husband and I helped weed all summer. Can hardly wait for the aroma! I give so many pints away every year we run out before summer. But we like our children to enjoy the old recipes. Thanks for sharing. Rita
