Hi List, Since John added the ref to my article in NYG&B Record Vol. 124 re the Garrison descendants of Gerrit Janson van Oldenburg, I must add my two bits worth. I'd guess that your Garrisons are much more likely to have descended from the Gerret Remmersen line who were in Gravesend, Flatlands, etc.from an early date well into the 1700s. I doubt very much that they descend from the Salem/Cumberland Co. Garrisons. The Garrison DNA project is disproving a great many earlier assumptions. It is pretty interesting.
