I have come to an impasse with my ggrandparents, Willard and Edith Vickery. If any one with access could look up their marriage certificate or any verifiable details regarding them and their parents I would be very appreciative. I believe they would have been married between 1900 and 1905. I'm not sure which town but I remember as a child my mother would talk of Stephentown and Nassau in Rennselaer county. Chuck, The 1910 census of Nassau lists them as having been married 16 years which would make the year of marriage about 1893/4: All born in NY, all parents born in NY. VICKERY Willard M. Head 41 m1 16 Farmer, own farm Edith G. Wife 32 m1 16 4 children, 4 living Nettie G. Dau 15 Roy J. Son 12 Leon L. Son 5 Vera M. Dau 2 In 1920 they had moved to New Lebanon, Columbia County. Not much changed other than they all aged about 10 years and Nettie is gone (probably married) and they have an additional son, Homer, age 6. In 1930 they were back in Nassau and Willard was a "laborer, town highway." Only Leon remained at home, a "chauffeur, town highway." One other difference, the 1930 census lists Willard as having been born in Mass.??? Oops! Just found them in the 1900 census at Nassau. Looks like Nettie married at 16 and had her first child at 17 -- not unusual.
