Kristen, It could be for it sounds very close. My G-GF was born there in 1844 and possibly some other family. They family lived in Quebec, Buffalo, Troy, and near Detroit. Seeingly making a circuit forllowing employment which seemed to be ship building and lumbering. Do you know if this area still is a place in or near Troy? I'm gathering information to help me locate birth certificate or baptismal information.
