I wonder if anyone on the Troy Irish Genealogy List or the Rensselaer County List can shed any information on who Lucy A. Wood Rowe was. On Sunday, I marched in the Troy Flag Day Parade with the Troy Lodge of Elks. While momentarily stopped in the parade route, I was impressed with the building at 77-79 Fourth Street, just opposite Proctor's Theatre. Across the front of this impressive four story building was the inscription: LUCY A. WOOD ROWE MEMORIAL The brick and stone building was quite interesting architecturally with it's balustrade across the roof, four two story columns with Corinthian capitals and 3 one story columns with similar capitals. After living in Troy the first 34 years of my live I really never noticed this beautiful building. Bill McGrath Clifton Park, NY
