3 Feb. 1866 at Sand Lake Presbyterian, Mrs. Margaret Smith married Henry Fullerton, by Pastor Albert C. Bishop. We suspect that this Mrs. Margaret Smith was the widow of Edward P. Smith who died sometimes between June 1860 and June 1865, Sand Lake, Rensselaer Co. (Census dates) in a Milling Accident. However, if wer're correct about this, the marriage did not last as Margaret Smith is living in Sand Lake (Page 35, Image 35) [269-304] with her 3 children by Edward P. Smith: Elizabeth, Edward and Eleazer.. She is Margaret Smith in 1880 in N. Greenbush, Page 36, image 36 (265-370) with her sons. Daughter Elizabeth (b. 1850-1854) is no longer at home. [We have not found her marriage]. The marriage in 1866 is proven by a marriage certificate found among a descendant's papers (descendant of Margaret). The Certificate gives only the information as above, lacking any identifying information. There is a Henry Fullerton, ae 60, 1870 residing Stillwater, Saratoga Co., NY, Image 61, July 11, [421-506], residing with John J.? Fullerton and family. Is there an existing Presbyterian church in Sand Lake now that would cover that time period? Deanna Smith
