    3. Have you tried looking in a local LDS Family History Center? Their webpage says they have one right in Denver along with many others thoughout the state. They have the Troy City Directories on film (you may have to order them though) along with the NY State Census. I am not sure what resources they have there in Denver, but the Family History Center many times will beat out the archives when it comes to what you are looking for. Remember the National Archives only contain data relating to national data, this does include great sources (ie. fed. Censuses, immigration, military service); but the family history centers contain only information pertaining to genealogy. I know that the FHC here in Los Angeles has all of the federal censuses, the NY state Censuses for Renss and Albany county, City Directories, plus they have access to cemetery info, church records, etc. etc. Plus the hours are usually better than the archives Being a long distance researcher, I know exactly the troubles you are having. And having spent a few days last week in Troy, I had to make the tough decision of where to go and what to do with my limited time (I did a few cemetery walks and the rest at the state archives). good luck ----- Original Message ----- From: "bmyers" <bmyers@du.edu> To: <NYRENSSE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, August 10, 2000 7:52 PM Subject: [NYRENSSE] MYERS, RYAN, LOOBY, DWYER, KEENAN, ORR, COUGHLIN, etc. > Hello All, > > Well, I've finally had some time to spend at the National Archives, and have > extracted a good amt. of info. from the census there.
