I've learned that living there at that time put them squarely in the middle of Indian Country and then the Revolutionary War. I want to learn more about life there in those times, and have seen reference to two books that I can't find: The Identity of the St. Francis Indians by Gordon M. Day and Rensellaer Memoirs (May not be exact title) by Mrs. Bleeker, published in 1793. Has anyone seen or heard of these books? Any advice on how to find either one?
