Hi all! I found a connection on my Bates side (Hi Fran!) and thought I would try the other line and see if anyone recognizes it. My gg-gm Lydia Howard married Stephen Bates in Troy, Nov. 1864. Lydia was born July 1845, Rensselaer Co (not Troy), I believe to Abraham Howard and Catherine Blanchard, though I'm trying to confirm that. Abraham married Catherine Blanchard April 1842 in Schodack, according to town records. According to Scodack interrments, Abram Howard died in 1847 and was buried in the Log Meeting House cemetery. This may not be my Abraham, but there isn't another Abraham Howard in the 1850 census, nor is there a Catherine Howard. There was also a Mary Catherine Howard born to Abraham and Catherine Aug 1846 in Schodack. I've basically lost Lydia from the time she was born until she married.
