Hi Sharon, For what it's worth, I am planning the same trip (hopefully) in September. I know my cousin has found an enormous amount of information from the Troy and Albany libraries, as you mentioned. Our families were once from Troy and surrounding areas, as well. The only other thing I would suggest (and plan to do myself) is find out information on the cemetary/church your ancestors are buried in/belonged to. I know the church my family belonged to does not have the employees to do look-ups, so I'll have to do them myself most likely. If you plan to find information from cemetary records, do you know where they are? Do you know the hours of the place in which they're located, or if anyone will look up info. for you? You probably thought of this already, but if I didn't subscribe to this and other lists, I wouldn't have thought to do these things myself. Brooke >We are traveling to Schenectady and Rensselaer Counties July 10-12 or >thereabouts. ............ Are these all good >plans? Also, where else would it be wise to visit? Any other advise >would be greatly appreciated. >Thanks, >Sharon Foley
