Several people asked where to get microfilms of Cohoes or other NY newspapers. I got mine by interlibrary loan from the New York State Library. Their web site has a complete list of which papers they have for which years. Go to: http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/nysnp/ I seem to remember that a $10 fee was mentioned somewhere on the web site, but it apparently did not apply to my library. The Cohoes city library also has microfilmed newspapers. I don't know their lending policy. If anyone finds a source for Cohoes newspapers, either microfilm or hardcopy, please let me know.
