>> Hello Listers, I am new to this list. I have recently found out some new info on my gggg-grandfather, Henry YEAGER (YAEGER, YAGER, JAGER) that he was born in Troy, Rensselaer Co, NY on Jan. 5, 1775. I am trying to find the names of his parents and siblings. Henry later moved to Schoharie, NY then in 1828 to Lackawanna Co, PA where he died June 26, 1861. He married Mary DINGS, born March 1, 1779 in Sullivan Co, NY and died March 23, 1829 in Lackawanna Co, PA. Can anyone help me find Henry's parents and siblings? I've hit a brick wall and am doing research long distance. Thank you Lisa Woodward Freeport, Illinois wlwoodward@juno.com << There are 3 YAGERS listed in the 1790 Census for Albany Co. At the time Rensellaer Co had not been formed and Troy was called Rensselaerwick. The YAGERS: John YAGER - (no male children < 16 years in 1790) Coonradt YAGER - had some males < 16 in 1790 Wendel YAGER - had some males < 16 in 1790 You might go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyrensse/index.htm and search on YAGER. It displays a number of church and other records and there is even a Henry YAGER in one but the date is off for you. Names were really spelled all kinds of ways in those days.
