Another 100 people have been entered on the Rensselaer GenExchange site for the 1880 census for a total of 200 records. Check out the site and see if any of the entries are your ancestors. We now have four more volunteers transcribing records. It's hard work but very satisfying. The 1880 census does not have an index. When this project gets done, we will have one. The more volunteers we have the quicker this will get done. Each page takes almost four hours to transcribe and are over 500 pages. I also have the 1870 census and index.
