Hello List, I am searching for any information or any descendants of VINCENT family who lived in Stephentown late 1700's and early 1800's. Death certificate of Sarah Jane VINCENT THOMPSON states that she is the daughter of Johnathan VINCENT b. Stephentown (abbr. unable to read, possibly Ceni) and Elizabeth YOUNGS. Sarah Jane's father's name, in local records AND in family correspondence, is actually either Joshua or Elijah Joshua VINCENT. Joshua (as he was known by family) was in Orleans County NY by 1816; I estimate that he was born abt. 1788. Would love to hear from anyone with further information on this family.
