I am in total agreement with Judy. The proposal of a preservation plan is a great idea. Surely the Church would be supportive or at least open to discussion. For some of us who are first or second generation Irish or Italian or Polish or whatever, the Church records may hold critical information regarding our ancestors. Perhaps one of you might have an affiliation with a group of historians or others who might make this a priority. I am sure you can count on lots of support from genealogists everywhere. Why should our Catholic records be so difficult if not impossible to access? For some of us, those records may be all that we have left. I am hopeful someone will take up this cause.
