Morning All, I am hoping for some information regarding a catholic church in Troy in 1851. Over the weekend I was looking over the Troy business directory that is on the Cornell University website and I have a question. The first page of the directoy (before the actual directory) gives the history of Rennselaer County and from there I went to the page about Troy. In the information that is provided, it lists how many of each denomination of churches there are in Troy at the time of the printing of the gazette. I am interested in the catholic church and it says that there is only 1 in Troy in 1851. Can anyone tell me which church that would be? My gggrandfather belonged to the catholic church in 1865 when he relocated to Illinois after the war, so I would think this would be my first avenue to locate his birth record. Thanks, Patti Orlando, Fl
