My gggrandparents were listed as Lenard and the correct spelling is Leonard. They were in the 6th ward. The second problem was their address was listed as Mill St. but their 6, 8, and 12 year old children were listed on the next page as Vanderburgh Ave. (They must have lived in the corner house.) If I didn't already have a copy of this census page than I would have had a few sleepless nights trying to figure this one out. Until I looked at your index I never even noticed the name was misspelled on the census, I knew where they were located in 1880 and just found the sheet with the Mill St. address and found their name never really checking the spelling. So if you don't find your family, don't give up just try another spelling.
