Have two large photos of the 1930 8th grade graduating class of St. Peter's Catholic Grammar School in Troy, NY. The first was taken in 1928 when they were in 6th grade -- all seated at desks. The second taken in 1940 outside holding their diplomas. Am willing to make copies for anyone with a relative in that class. Note there are no names associated with the photo and I can identify only my father, Thomas J. HESTER. Also have commemorative "souvenir" holy card that advises on one side "Visit the Sacred Host of Tomorrow's Communion" and a prayer for that occassion. Don't know if this from a First Communion or something else. Since only boys' names are listed on the reverse side, suspect it might be memento from La Salle military high school also attended by my father. If so, these would be class of 1934. (Note there appear to be two groups of 13 names each separately alphabetized -- 26 in total. In the photos, there are 18 boys in the 6th grade photo and 20 in the 8th grade photo, so neither of those seem to fit the number on the holy card.) James E. BARRY Curran W. BLIGH Daniel J. SHEEHAN Not sure of the value of my posting this list, since I can't identify its origin, but hoped maybe someone out there has seen something similar or recognizes the names and can clue the rest of us in...Only thing I can say for sure is that the names would be contemporaries of my father's who was born in 1916.
