Laurie: I do not have much information about Polly Babcock. She reportedly was born in New Lebanon, Columbia, Co, NY. Noah was married to Jemima (unknown) in RI and they apparently left for NY before Jan. 10, 1789 when they deeded their land to John Foster, Jr. This is based on a son being born to them in New Lebanon in 1788. Polly reportedly gave birth to Tacy, 1790; Caleb, 1792; and Polly, 1796. Noah and his brother William had land transactions in New Lebanon during this time period. In 1801 Ruth Greene, also of unknown origin, gave birth to Calvin and subsequently, many more children.
