Hi all, Haven't posted this mystery man in a while... maybe someone new has a clue? Theodore Gibbs b. NY (Rensselaer?) 7/3/1806, m. Nancy Wood (from Mass.) 10/7/1824 in NY or MA, d. 5/1/1886 Lawrence Co, TN. He was a Clerk of Court and is listed on the Rensselaer Census in 1830. Children were: Joseph Sylvester Gibbs b. 1832 NY (my ancestor) Jessie G Susan E Delia M. Abijah B. Mary A Emeline A Gilbert C Henry C John R Millard Fillmore Samantha W. In TN, the Gibbs connect with the Flippos and many other Lawrence Co families (I have a book of descendants), and they are mostly buried at Bumpass Cemetery in Lawrenceburg...but I can't fill in the gaps or find Theo's parents... With all these kids, there must be some info out there on Theodore and company! Can anyone verify his birth in NY? Or find his marriage? Are there other census, deed, tax, church, obit, etc records out there? Can anyone shed any light on his wife, Nancy Wood? Any help appreciated! Cyndi in Baltimore
