Looking for descendants of Noah Bentley, born between 1760 and 1770 in Richmond, RI, son of John and Elizabeth (Gardiner) Bentley. Settled in Rensselear Co. (Stephentown and Sand Lake). Married Jemima in RI; Polly Babcock from New Lebanon; Ruth Greene from Stephentown and Sally Tefft or Tifft. He fathered at least 21 children and died Jan. 1832 in Alps or Sand Lake. To Lawrence: I have quite a few Polly Babcocks in the Babcock Genealogy (9 in fact) plus some others such as Polly Benedict etc. Do you have any dates for Polly. One of the Polly Babcock's father lived in Albany after the Revolutionary War. New Lebanon is not far from there. I'll send you more information if you think this is the right Polly.
