Well, in case anyone was wondering, even with summer upon us, we are still working diligently on completing the transcription project of the 1880 Federal Census for the city of Troy. We have just recently completed the 3rd ward which consists of another 2575 people, 330 more dwellings and 475 families. I have started putting it on line starting with the Troy Hospital which was located at 8th Street at Fulton Street. You can find it at the URL below my name, clicking on New York and then Troy. When you click on the census page for the first time, give it time to snap in. Sometimes, your browser will show, "document done" but you won't have the table. Just give it a while, it will come in. For your information, we are almost done with the 4th ward, have some of the 10th ward completed and that will only leave the 7th and 13th wards to do to complete the town. Once the town is complete we also have some of the outlining towns, like Lansingburg, Greenbush, Schaghticoke, etc. to complete. When they are all done, I intend to put all of them in one file, rather than in wards to make it easier to search. Let us know if you find a connection. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com
