Hello, Might any of you fine people have a connection with Patrick GALLAGHER and Ellen MCLAUGHLIN, who lived at Raheen Barr or in that area, Islandeady Parish, near Castlebar, County Mayo, Ireland? Known children, Daniel, Martin, Patrick, Hugh, and John W. Gallagher, left for America in late 1840's. All to Hoosick Falls, New York, area. John W., wife Julia LABARRON, came earlier. If any of them would have traveled up the St. Lawrence, where might have been a likely place for them to debark? If any of this sounds familiar, I'd love to talk further.
