Looking to hear from other family researchers of John Curtis HOXIE (1826-1905). John, the s/o Lyman G. HOXSIE & Lucretia CURTIS, was born in Bergen, Genesee Co., NY. The family moved for a short time to Lucas Co. OH in 1836 and then again to NY. In 1846 John married Almeda L. DAVIS, (1828-1917) either in Albion, Orleans Co. or Chenango Co. NY. Almeda was the d/o Job Greene DAVIS & Susan MONEY (d/o Asahel) of Lincklaen, Chenango Co., NY, all 3 of whom migrated to Caledonia, Waupaca Co., WI in 1855. John and Almeda also migrated in 1855 to the adjoining county of Outagamie, WI from DeRuyter, Rensselaer Co., NY. John was the first mayor of New London, Waupaca Co., WI and served in that capacity two more times. John and Almeda migrated to Florida in the early 1890's. John & Almeda had two children that I'm aware of, Albert Eugene HOXIE and Catherine "Kittie" (HOXIE) WILLIAMS-SPRINGSTEAD. Albert HOXIE & Jennie SIBLEY had a son, George HOXIE (m. Edith D. KETCHUM) who was a lawyer in Clintonville, Outagamie Co., WI. Albert later married Augusta SCHABEL and they removed to St. Petersburg, Pinellas Co., FL.
