Peter Van Rensselaer Curtis was born 1801 in Rennselaer County, NY and died 1866 in West Virginia. He married Elizabeth Dolin(Nov 30, 1822), Jane Toney (1844), and Isabell Carrow (September 17, 1861). Peter was born in NY, moved to Brown County, OH, and then to Delaware County, Iowa. Does anyone have any information about him or why his middle name would be Renssalaer. I was just wondering and thought that some of you who know more about the history of the county might be able to help with some background information. Any help would be appreciated. Kathy in WV
