Hello all, Am new to this list and unfamiliar with the town of Castleton but....having relatives buried there with no indication of a cemetery name, wonder if there are several burial grounds? If there is a cemetery that is partisan to the Methodist Episcopal church, how can I obtain monument or burial info? David in Scarborough ON
David, There are over 93,000 cemetery records online at the following site. If you find names that interest you, the cemetery name is on the same line, and it should tell if it is in Castleton. Castleton is in the Town of Schodack. I mention this in case there is a cemetery outside the village limits. It might give the Town of Schodack as the location. http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyrensse/cem1.htm Cliff ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ann and David Carr wrote: > Hello all, > > Am new to this list and unfamiliar with the town of Castleton > but....having relatives buried there with no indication of a cemetery > name, wonder if there are several burial grounds? > > If there is a cemetery that is partisan to the Methodist Episcopal > church, how can I obtain monument or burial info? > > David in Scarborough ON > > ==== NYRENSSE Mailing List ==== > Archives: http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl > Rensselaer County Genweb page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyrensse/ > GenConnect Board: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NY/Rensselaer > GenExchange-Rensselaer Co http://www.genexchange.org/county.cfm?state=ny&county=rensselaer
