Before I post my message I need to know if Troy is in this county? I thought I saw something that led me to believe it was in Albany county. Then I also posted to the NYC list tthinking it had something to do with census request. Somebody on this list kindly told me I was on the wrong list and should submit to this one. My ancestor, Thomas McCorkle had a dairy farm in the 1880s in Troy, New York. I guess before I start asking about him I need first figure WHERE I should be looking. Thanks for bearing with me. Martha
