The census of 1850 shows an Abner Thurber(or Thurbor) 43 living in Mississippi with wife and children. It indicates he was b. in NY. Rensselaer is one of the NY counties having Thurbers in the early 1800's. Does anyone on the list have information about a Thurber or Thurbor family with son Abner b. ca 1807?
