Thanks for answering my distress call! I'm researching Mary Ann Nolan born 4/1/1854. The birth certificate of her first child James, born in Aurora Illinois in 1878 states that Mary Ann was born in Sceaticook New York (which is Schaghticoke). Mary Ann died in Illinois in 1934. I have not been able to figure out yet where she married Michael Corrigan though for now I assume it was Illinois as she married in 1877, one year before her first child was born. Mary Ann's death certificate states her father's name was Patrick Nolan from Ireland. The information was given by one of her sons. The 1855 Rensselaer Census has a Patrick Noland age 35, wife Mary age 30, a child Hannah 6, a son James 4, and a son Patrick 2, but does not mention a daughter who would be about 1. So I am stuck.
