Hi All, There is a very interesting item on e bay. I wrote to the seller requesting names on the deeds. I signed it: Jenn O. Castleton. Some of the names as best as I can read them: Peter Heinzer and wife Catharine, Village of Castleton (1886) Joseph Belser and wife Barbara (Castleton) (1887) Orris A. Clark and wife Rachel (Castleton) (1880) Bond: Helen Van Alstyne to Horace M Reynolds (1871) A transfer a land "being part of house lot 86" in Castleton from Susannah Niver (Newburgh) to William A.S. Sands and George N. Sands. Goes on to say that said premises was conveyed by Issac Eslick to Stephen Butler by indenture May 1,1811, assigned to John I. Kittle to Lucretia Clow and conveyed to Susannah Niver by deed April 1, 1867. >>>> I don't know if he just gave me these names because he thought I was just interested in Castleton. There may be more names in other locations, but this may be of interest to folks digging around in Castleton.
