Is anyone familiar with Robert Morehead, born in New York about 1843-1846, enlisted in New York's Co. H 2d Inf. April 22/ May 1, 1861 at Troy NY. He then enlists in Md Co. F. lst Cav. June 13, 1863 as Charles RUSSELL and is discharged 12 Aug 1865. There is a pension application (Invalid) filed in Michigan 17 August 1891 for him showing both names. This appears to be the Robert Morehead who married Sarah Finney Keeney in Mecosta County, Michigan Dec. 26, 1882. He is in the 1890 Michigan Soldiers & Sailors Census in Rodney, Martiny Twp., Mecosta Co. Mich., then in "U.S. Civil War Soldiers Living in Michigan in 1894" in Edmore Village, Montcalm County, Michigan. Sarah Finney/Keeney/Morehead dies in New York "a few months before June 1904." Sarah was 5 years old (b. Penn.) in the Mehoopany Twp, Wyoming Co., Penn census for 1850. She marries Schuler F. Keeney before November 1863, probably in Wyoming Co.
